My eclectic 1960s bedroom is filled with plenty of vintage 1970s items along with antique and new furniture.
70s Inspired Bedroom
My house was built in the 60s and in my bedroom I really let myself embrace the 60s and 70s theme. The pink paint color is actually original to the house and I didn’t change it (so sorry I can’t tell you what paint color it is!).
1960s Bedroom Before Photo
Taking a look at this photo, not much has changed except adding my decor and bedroom furniture!
Groovy Flower Power Theme
I’m in love with the flower power patterns from the 1970s and brought that into my bedroom! I have a vintage bedsheet as a curtain hanging in my laundry room doorway.
You can see a video tour of my bedroom below!
Antique dresser and groovy jewelry
I have the antique white dresser that I bought about ten years ago from an antique store, it fits in the perfect awkward space between my laundry room and my closet.
I love my clear jewelry case it’s so nice for displaying all my jewelry and I can easily see what’s inside. My mirror is secondhand from my Mom. I framed some vintage seed packet advertisements as artwork.
Affordable Wall Art
I framed a Cavallini & Co Wall Poster and it’s the perfect wildflower art print. Cavallini has the best posters and they are so cheap! I put them inside IKEA frames and spray paint them gold.
My bedroom is pretty small so I couldn’t fit a bookcase in here. Instead, I found this corner shelf on craigslist that fit perfectly in this small spot. It was wood so I painted it a light blue and added vintage wallpaper as backing. I just used mod podge to attach it.
The shelf is the perfect place to display my collectible Orange Bird mug.
Vintage Matching Blue End Tables
I bought my matching blue antique end tables at one of my favorite antique stores, Downtown Antiques in Holland.
The Bed and Headboard
My quilt is from Ownkoti and the sheets I use are my absolute favorite Target Threshold Sheets. They’re the BEST sheets in the whole world with elastic all the way around. I’m still using the first sheet set I bought five years ago.
My headboard is from Walmart and it’s a bed frame with a footboard. I just attached the headboard to my old bedframe, I don’t use the footboard because I like to stretch out when I sleep. But I’m obsessed with the headboard.
I have a vintage vinyl bag hanging on my wall. I love the flower power design and it makes great instant art!
I made my bunting out of vintage sheets to put on the DIY shelves I made. They’re just two pieces of wood that I painted white with brackets and screwed into the wall.
I have a bunch of knick-knacks that I’ve found over the years at flea markets on the shelves. But I also have two gold storage baskets that hold my vintage scarves and hair accessories.
The pillows and pillowcases are thrifted along with my dress, vintage afghan, and knitting book.
