Here’s are the vintage items that are on my wish list for 2022. I made a wish list last year and found a lot of the items on it which is super exciting! But I’m always looking for some new retro trinkets and here’s what’s on my list now.
Vintage Volkswagen Bus
This is a pipe dream that might never come to fruition. But I’d absolutely love to own one of these. It’d be so much sewing flower power curtains for the interior! Maybe someday I’ll own a groovy VW bus. The one pictured was parked at the TWA hotel in NY when I visited.
Witch Blow Mold
I was lucky enough to find the coveted Dracula blow mold at Allegan antique market in Michigan last year. There’s two more blow molds I’m looking for and one of them is the Empire witch.
Tiki Bar
I’m slowly collection vintage tiki related items like tiki mugs and vintage Hawaii souvenirs. The big thing I’m missing is a vintage bar.
Glasbake Lipton Mugs
I adore these pastel glasbake lipton mugs. I haven’t seen one in the wild yet but I’d love to start a collection once I spot one.
Betty Crocker Cooky Book
I have a bunch of vintage Betty Crocker cookbooks but one I’m missing is the Cooky Book. I’d love to display it at Christmas time.
Galaxy Syrup Spaceman
Galaxy spacemen bottles are quite rare and hard to come by. I really don’t know if I’ll ever find one in the wild so I might have to buy one online. I love them so much and I’m a sucker for anything vintage space related. The photo above is by my friend Chloe Vanessa @smug_pig_vintage on Instagram.
Vintage Camper
Another pie in the sky dream is to own a vintage camper one day. I’d love a 1970s one! I already have vintage blow mold string lights that would be perfect hanging from a camper awning.
Vintage Flocked Dancing Santa in Rainbow Colors
I didn’t know I wanted these until I saw my Instagram friend @antique_vestige display them in her summer tiki display. Oh my gosh they are so cute in different colors! I own two of these Santas in the classic red but I hope to find them in other colors too.
Ghosts and Tombstone Blow Mold
I owned this ghost blow mold 7ish years ago and sold it on eBay (Pictured in the center). That’s one of my biggest reseller regrets! At the time I didn’t decorate with blow molds but now I’m obsessed with them. The blow mold was even been featured in Stranger Things. I hope to come across this light again! I found a dream Halloween blow mold this summer at Allegan Antique Market in Michigan. You can watch the video below!
Colorful Vintage TV
I’ve never seen a colorful TV like these in person before, only online. Whenever I do see one I will definitely spring for it. They are SO cute and would fit right in with my aesthetic.
Framed Crewel
I have a few crewel pillows (like the round one above) that I love but I’m on the hunt for framed crewel artwork. I haven’t had any luck finding them at thrift stores but hopefully I will soon!
Cathrineholm Lotus Enamelware
I’ll be surprised if I ever end up owning one of these items but they are the epitome of mid century modern. The photo above is from my friend Jade at Moonrise Vintage Shop on Etsy and on Instagram.
Cat Clock
I love cats and vintage clocks so this would be the perfect item for me. I’d like it to be in a fun color though which makes it a bit harder to find. I’m open to buying a new one too like this green cat clock at Walmart!
