Allegan Antique Market is one of my favorite vintage flea markets in Michigan. It's in Allegan, MI at the Allegan County Fairgrounds and it runs during the summer. I’ll give you details on their summer schedule and what type of vintage items you can find at the market. They have hundreds of antique dealers at this fair so let’s get right to it!
Open dates and hours
Hours are 8:00AM-4:00PM. I personally get there right at 8AM and there is never a line to get in. The dates are the last Sunday of the month May-September. For more information you can check out the Allegan Antique Visitor Information page.

Know before you go
This flea market is really nice. It’s surrounded by big trees and there’s lots of food vendors to choose from. Be sure to bring a water bottle because it can get hot. I also bring reusable bags and a backpack because I buy so many things.
Be sure to bring cash because most of the vendors do not accept credit cards. However, they do have an ATM.
What kind of shopping is there?
There’s a mix of very expensive and cheap items at this flea market. It’s exclusively a vintage market so you won’t see anything new here.
There are multiple indoor pole barns that have booths with higher value items. So if you’re looking for rare collectibles, this is where you should stop. There are jewelry sellers inside the pole barns that sell vintage wedding rings and broaches. Also they will sell more fragile items that are breakable and should not get wet. Like Christmas putz houses and ceramic Christmas trees (Shown below).
Most of the shopping is done outdoors. The flea market is large with hundreds of vendors. You’ll find the best deals on vintage items in the outdoor booths.
How are the prices?
The flea market has items that are fairly priced. Most items are in good and relatively clean condition. Occasionally you’ll find an incredible steal here. If you’re looking for a junky flea market with REALLY cheap prices check out my blog post on Burley Park flea market.
Can you haggle at this flea market?
Absolutely! I haggle for everything I buy here. For tips on how to get a great deal check out my Flea Market Tips blog post.
Does weather affect the market?
The flea market is rain or shine. I actually love when the weather is bad because I get the best deals since there are less shoppers. Also there are still the pole barns if you need a break from the rain.
The vintage items I bought at the antique market
Yellow Blendo glassware set with tray - $28
Vintage green frog - $5
2 Vintage cookbooks - $7
New old stock trim - $3
Fire King Kimberly diamond mug set of 4 - $10
Vintage Hawaii mug - $3
The next month I had a completely different vintage haul but just as good! Watch the video below to see the vintage Halloween and Christmas decor I found. Plus I found some vintage dresses too!
Takeaway
If you’re in the West Michigan area I highly recommend taking time out of your Sunday to visit this market. I’ve been going for years and I’m never disappointed. It’s worth taking a trip out of your way to this antique market.
