Vintage Halloween collectibles are one of the rarest and most expensive items you can purchase. Especially if you can find antique Halloween decorations, those can be quite valuable. If you’re a vintage seller you definitely want to get in on buying Halloween collections because you can sell them for top dollar! Here are some of the rarest and most collectible retro Halloween items you can buy.

Halloween invitations

Vintage Halloween invitations can be quite expensive but it’s also possible to score a great deal. The older they are the rarer and pricier they get. Spooky postcards can be a slightly cheaper paper item to collect.

Vintage Halloween living room decorations

Beistle Halloween decorations

Authentic 1930s Beistle decorations are SO cool and are basically pieces of art. The giant skeleton on my living room door above is a Beistle skeleton. Most Beistle collectibles are die cuts or honeycomb and I love them both. Beistle does have reproduction items that are cute too and a lot more affordable. If you do plan on spending a lot of money be sure to figure out if the item is actually vintage and not repro.

You can watch me unpack my valuable Halloween collectibles in my Youtube video below.

Vintage Halloween paper mache jack-o-lantern

Paper mache pumpkins

1930s paper mache pumpkins are one of the rarest Halloween items you can own. When you do find one they are normally at least $100. I was lucky enough to find a broken one for $10 at an estate sale this year that I repaired myself (You can watch the pumpkin repair video on my Instagram).

Vintage Halloween Collectibles Noise Makers

Noise makers

Halloween noise makers are so cute to decorate with but can be quite pricey. I have a few and I like to put them on a vintage book stack or in between creepy bottles. The artwork on noise makers are amazing!

Rare Halloween decorations

Halloween masks

Halloween masks and the boxes are SO cool and artistic! I love displaying them as art. I have a Popeye one that I put out every year. I hope to find a cool classic monster mask like a vampire or Frankenstein.

If you love how Halloween masks look but don’t want to spend a bunch of money on multiple masks, consider this Halloween mask garland on Etsy.

Vintage Halloween Luminarc mug

Vintage Halloween Mugs

There’s nothing better than drinking a warm tea or hot chocolate out of a vintage mug. I love my Luminarc Halloween mug that I found at a thrift store with all the little trick or treaters on it!

Luhrs die cuts

Luhrs Halloween items are mostly die cuts. I just found a Luhrs jointed cat and a pumpkin die cut at Allegan flea market in Michigan. You can watch that exact flea market haul video on my Youtube channel.

Halloween records

Certain Halloween records are incredibly expensive. If you’ve ever tried to buy a cheap Disney’s Haunted Mansion record, good luck! I did finally get a pretty good deal on one on eBay and bought it because I wanted one for years. You can find a good deal on lesser known Halloween records and those can come with great album artwork!

Vintage Halloween blow mold display

Blow molds

Blow molds are expensive no matter what but Halloween ones can be even more expensive. I have two Halloween blow molds on my vintage 2022 wish list right now that I’m hoping to find. I made a 2021 vintage wish list and I put the Dracula blow mold on there and I found it that very year! I paid $45 which is an insanely good deal because of how expensive they are. He does have paint missing and a crack in his face but that just makes him spookier which I love.

Rare vintage Halloween items to shop for

Trick or treat bags

Vintage trick or treat bags have the coolest artwork! You can buy a whole pack and that can be expensive. Or you can buy an individual bag at a time which costs around $10 each. Most of the trick or treat bags I own were around $3 each at flea markets.

If you’re a reseller and you can find a bunch of trick or treat bags cheaply, selling them individually can be very lucrative.

Store displays

When you shop in the fall you’ll see stores decorated with temporary displays for fall. As someone who worked in retail, I know those signs and cutouts are meant to be thrown away once the season is over unless a team member wants to keep it. That’s what makes store displays so rare because they weren’t given out to the general public.

Signage and giant character cut outs can be hard to find but they do have some store displays on eBay.

Emily Retro Halloween decorations

Ceramic ghost and pumpkins

Ceramic Halloween collectibles are all very unique and special, sometimes even hand painted. A lot of them are lights, similar to a ceramic Christmas tree. I love my vintage ceramic ghost light and my ceramic jack-o-lanterns. I have multiple jack-o-lanterns in different sizes which you can see in the photo below in my pie safe.

Vintage Halloween tree decoration

Halloween tree

Halloween trees aren’t very common and the one I have isn’t even vintage. But it’s vintage inspired and I absolutely love it. It’s a blast searching for Halloween ornaments for my tree!

Do you have any of the items on my list? If you do I hope you cherish them and feel extra lucky! If you’d like to give your wallet a break check out my blog post on Common Vintage Halloween Decorations to Thrift Shop For.
