Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow is one of my favorite Halloween movies. It’s also an easy couples DIY costume idea! I thrifted both costumes and everything else I already had in the house. We found a spooky haunted forest to photograph ourselves to really feel like we were in a Tim Burton film. Here’s how to create your own Ichabod Crane and Katrina Van Tassel cosplay!

Katrina Van Tassel
Black and white dress (Mine is a Kohl’s Apt. 9 dress that I already owned which I linked on eBay) If you want to buy an actual replica of the movie dress you can buy Katrina’s dress on Etsy
I was lucky enough to find a spooky forest 5 minutes from my house with creepy angled tree branches. It looks very Tim Burton esqe!
I already owned the blow mold skull and use it as Halloween decorations in my house. I bought it for $5 at Allegan Antique Market in Michigan.
The skull represents the headless horseman’s head that he is searching for in the movie. The book that I use as my prop can be either Katrina’s spellbook or Ichabod’s journal.
