Vintage Halloween Paper Candle Craft

It's time for a vintage Halloween decor craft! These paper black flame candles are upcycled cardboard toilet paper and paper towel rolls. I love making retro DIY projects and these spooky candles make perfect Halloween decorations. Here's the tutorial for how to make your own vintage paper candles!

Supply List

• Paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, oatmeal containers, pringles cans, etc.

• Thin cardboard boxes like cereal boxes, granola bar boxes, baking mix boxes, etc.

• Cardstock or construction paper

• Glue gun

• Paint brush

• Scotch tape

• Black and orange glitter

• Elmers glue

• Pipe cleaners

• Chenille pipe cleaner

• Sparkly pipe cleaners

• Scissors

• Printable bats (See below)

Upcycle paper towel rolls

You’ll use paper towel and toilet paper rolls for this upcycle project. You wrap them in cardstock paper to create a colorful Halloween candle.

Adding pipe cleaners and glitter

Printable Halloween bats

I made some printable bats so you can cut them out and decorate your candles. I printed them on a sheet of shipping labels so they became stickers. Otherwise, you can put them on printer paper and use glue to attach them to the candles.
